To start it off I am 14 5'6 140(kinda fat). I am a left-handed but bat right handed. I would like to bulk up for baseball this year. The season starts in about 2 weeks. Just to let you guys know that.I play first base and pitcher. I throw bout 60 mph. I am unhappy I would like to throw somewheres around 70 mph next year. So can you give me some tips on how to pitch faster and add more movement on my fastballs and change up. I have a Bow Flex Extreme 2, Hit A Way and Tread climber at my house. I will work very hard. I am looking for some drills to do at my house. To some it up I would like to throw faster and add more movement on my pitches, 1B drills so that I can be good defensively, and becoming stronger and lose access fat so that I can hit the long ball. And also anything else that you would like to throw in there about baseball drills or any tips.I will work extremely hard in and out of the baseball season.
Thank you for your time
From about 4th grade or 5th grade to 7th grade I would pitch and wouldn't do as good as I thought I was capable of….wasn't throwing as hard as I wanted….etc. Basically I was bad.I was also playing third and first. In 8th grade I started taking pitching lessons. Now, a year later I'm a freshman and play JV and pitch.
TAKE PITCHING LESSONS. You'll get a lot better advice from someone who's job it is to teach kids how to be a better baseball player.
Secondly, I'm also 14, 5'8 and 150. I work out very often and I'm not fat. You shouldn't be either. If you are just work out. If you wanna lose weight do cardio….treadmills, jogging, that stuff. If you want muscle just use that bowflex you were talkin about. But also go to the gym and lift….bench press, squat, clean and jerks, power cleans, incline press, anything that'll give u muscle. Just don't over do it or you'll get hurt. If you do all that year round you'll get as good you can get and hopefully reach your goal.
