It looks like you really want to get better, that 's a very good start on becoming a better player. Determination, commitment and desire are some things you need to have if you want to improve.

These are some factors you want to take in to consideration if you want to get better and get noticed by your coach.

1. Check on your mechanics
2. Develop your conditioning
3. Prepare yourself mentally
*Make sure you're "coachable" and open to changes.

-If you forget to make that stride that means it's not yet in your system. Practice on your swing everyday. Do around 25 swings after every practice to practice proper form. Practicing on a tee will help on your mechanics and repetition. Softball hitting is effective if proper mechanics is established

- With you being noticed by your coach, always show hustle, discipline and enthusiasm during practices and games. Coaches like players who give their 100% in games as well as practices.

- For softball pitching, there are so many pitching drills you may find in the net. BUT it's imperative that you start with getting the correct mechanics first.

Good luck! and don't stop wanting to be a good softball player :)
