About Coach Marty
Coach Marty Schupak got involved coaching youth baseball when his kids began playing. Coach Marty received a Bachelor's degree from Boston University in 1975, and in 1978 received a Masters degree in Physical Education from Arizona State University. He first got involved in youth sports by coaching both of his sons' youth baseball teams. In addition to coaching baseball he has coached children in basketball and soccer. In the past 14 years Coach Marty has managed or coached over 1,200 kids in youth athletics. Coach Marty takes a proactive approach to coaching youth sports by observing as many practices as he can on the youth level all the way up to high school kids. He is an active member of the American Baseball Coaches Association and the New York Alliance For Youth Sports.
Coach Marty's children have participated in their high school athletic programs. His oldest son Jeffrey, helped lead Nyack High School to the 1999 Class "B" Section One New York State Championship. He started at third base and batted .382, third highest on the team. He was selected as an All Star to the Section One New York State Baseball team in 2000. He also was a starter for the high school football team at tight end and defensive end. His other son Michael started at short stop for the Nyack High School Freshman team. Michael played on the Nyack High School Varsity Basketball team, which won the 2001 Section One, Class "B" New York State Championship. In 2002 he was honored as a scholar athlete and is also captain of the golf team. Coach Marty’s daughter Lisa was honored as MVP of both the Junior Varsity soccer and basketball teams in 2001-02.
Coach Marty won his 200th game in the summer of 1998. His teams have won numerous championships. He has coached many all star teams at all levels. Some of his former players have gone on to successful high school baseball careers, some of which have received athletic scholarships to college. Therefore, you can know that the videos and books you purchase from us have been tried and tested successfully, and are of the highest value to players, coaches, and parents.
